Author Guidelines

1. The editors invite high quality, research-based, original articles, that highlight the applications of research results to the improvement of T&I training and practice. Articles are accepted on the understanding that they have not been published elsewhere previously and that they are not being submitted simultaneously to another journal.

2. Permissions: It is the author’s responsibility to acquire any necessary permissions to use material protected by copyright, and they are personally responsible for the payment of any fee related to copyright that may be applicable. Authors are also responsible for obtaining any ethical clearance necessary for the publication of their article.

3. Length: Articles should be between 6,000 and 9,000 words in length.

4. Language: Contributions must be in English, using consistent spelling conventions.

5. The APA referencing system must be used. For details follow this link.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  3. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  4. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, located under About the Journal.
  5. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
